Germany needs bright minds! Graduates in STEM subjects in particular will be in high demand in the coming years. We will prepare you for your career start and connect you with regional companies.
The International Career Service is your point of contact for setting the course for your successful entry into the German labour market at an early stage. We look forward to getting to know you personally and supporting you on your individual career path!
Good German skills not only make university life easier; they are also crucial for your academic success and career. Many employers expect strong language abilities to ensure smooth communication within teams and with clients. That’s why it pays to work on your German systematically while you’re still studying—so you’ll be fully equipped for the world of work once you graduate.
Our subject-specific German courses are designed to help you do just that. You’ll broaden your practical vocabulary and learn communication strategies you can use straight away in a professional setting. For example, our “German for the Workplace” course prepares you specifically for job applications and technical discussions.
Whether you’re looking for an internship, a part-time job or about to embark on your career, our one-to-one advisory sessions will answer your personal questions on possible career paths, help you to optimise your application documents and practise your self-presentation. We’ll also support you in strategically aligning your studies with your chosen profession.
If you’d like to book a consultation, please email us at: careerservice(at)tu-braunschweig.de.
In your message, briefly explain your request and tell us whether you’d prefer an online or in-person appointment. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
In our group advisory format “Coffee, Cake & Career”, you’ll meet fellow students and experts from the International Career Service in a relaxed setting over coffee and cake. It’s the perfect opportunity to get answers to all your questions – whether you’re looking for part-time work alongside your studies, seeking tips for the career entry phase or wanting insights into the local business landscape. You can also pick up advice on your application documents or selection procedures. Not only will you come away with fresh ideas, but you’ll also make valuable contacts for your future career.
You’ll find all dates in the events calendar for international students and in the Career Service semester programme.
How do I design an application that truly stands out? Which questions might arise in a job interview – and how do I respond with confidence? What can I expect on my first day at a German company – and which (unwritten) rules should I observe? In our workshops, we explore these and other questions in detail. Together, we’ll optimise your application documents, prepare you for realistic interview scenarios and give you valuable insights into the conventions of German workplace culture. That way, you’ll not only be thoroughly prepared for the entire application process, but you’ll also start your new role with the confidence and expertise you need.
You can find all dates in the events calendar for international students and in the Career Service semester programme.
On our company visits, you’ll gain exciting insights into local businesses and research institutions, discovering the diverse career opportunities on offer in the region. You’ll see how theoretical concepts from your studies are applied in real working environments and have the chance to talk directly with experts and fellow students. This experience will help you identify which companies might be the right employers for you and allow you to make initial contacts.
All dates are available in the events calendar for international students and in the Career Service semester programme.
At our networking events and matchmaking sessions, you’ll meet representatives from local companies. You can make initial connections, explore career opportunities and receive direct feedback on your qualifications and career ambitions. Through these conversations, you’ll also discover which employers best suit your profile and how you might further develop it.
