In the 6DEMO project, a detailed investigation of the dispersion behavior of polluted airflow is being carried out in connection with the investigation of energy-efficient HVAC system operation and the corresponding system planning in the production environment. This will provide insights for improved continuous operation and more accurate planning and design of the corresponding technical building equipment.
In the 6DEMO project, the focus is on knowledge transfer from research to industrial practice, which could not be sufficiently considered in the 3Demo project. The developed system with a high degree of technological maturity for monitoring and active control of technical building equipment should enable efficient operation without deterioration of air quality.
In the planned project, a modular platform technology is to be developed that can be tried out and tested in completely different production environments. In this way, the high degree of technology maturity and the transferability of the technology will be tested and ensured in very different production environments. The challenge here lies in the continuous interaction of the physical and virtual worlds, whereby automated control and decision support are brought back to the physical world from the virtual world and the acquired measurement data. Regarding a holistic system approach, findings derived from various use cases in the production environment are to be transferred to the planning of the corresponding technical building equipment to address both planning and operation.
