The Thermal Science Lab (IfT) offers undergraduate lectures in the subjects of thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer for various study programs such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and biochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical engineering.
However, beyond the undergraduate courses, the teaching program at IfT also includes a wide range of in-depth graduate courses.
In addition to the teaching activities, the close linking of research and teaching is an important goal of the Thermal Science Lab. Research at the lab concentrates on following areas of interest:
Thermal Systems with Heat and Mass Transfer, Thermophysical Properties, Alternative Refrigeration Technologies, Natural Refrigerants and Electrochemical Cells.
