In order to clearly identify you and later for the printing of certificates, diplomas and other documents during your studies, you must provide suitable proof of identity. This can be done in the form of a copy of your identity card or a copy of your passport or birth certificate.

The higher education entrance qualification is the (school) qualification that gives you access to our university. As a rule, the university entrance qualification is your Abitur certificate. However, it is also possible, for example, to gain access via the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences. This always consists of an academic and a practical part, both of which must be submitted.

If you wish to provide evidence of a professional qualification, please upload the relevant certificates: training qualifications in conjunction with evidence of 3 years of relevant professional experience, evidence of further professional training (technician, educator, business administrator, master craftsman, etc.).

A complete, tabular CV including all periods of study at German universities must be uploaded. "Tabular" in this case means: no continuous text, but listed in clearly structured sections in bullet points.

A semester fee must be paid before each semester. Proof of payment must be uploaded to the online portal. As soon as the respective amounts for the winter and summer semesters have been determined, they will be announced on this website.

Please note: Incoming enrolment applications can be processed at the earliest after the semester fee has been determined. Until then, applications received will not be processed.

If you were already enrolled at other universities in Germany prior to your current enrolment application, we require certificates of exmatriculation from all former universities stating the university and subject semesters. This information is necessary for the calculation of the date of entry into the long-term tuition fee obligation. A notice of exmatriculation does not replace a certificate of exmatriculation - you must apply for exmatriculation at your former university.

You can provide us with evidence of your examination attempts, e.g. in the form of performance overviews. Please note that all successful and unsuccessful examinations must be listed.

We need this information to ensure that you are still entitled to take examinations in the degree programme you are applying for. This is particularly relevant if you have already studied an identical or related degree programme.

Please provide a digital passport photo for online enrolment. You must upload this to the university portal. The passport photo will also be printed on your student ID card, the TUcard.

For enrolment, we require an electronic notification of your insurance status from your health insurance company, the so-called notification 10 (M10). Please contact your health insurance company and request the "M10" for TU Braunschweig, quoting our sender number H0002117. If you would like to enrol on a degree programme for which an entrance test is required, please upload it. The tests are issued by the respective institutes at TU Braunschweig, for example by the Institute of English and American Studies for the English Studies degree programme or by the Institute of Music and its Mediation for the Music/Music Education degree programme.

If you have applied for the Pharmacy degree programme via the Hochschulstart portal, please upload the letter of admission from Hochschulstart.

Here you can upload relevant letters of admission from other universities for enrolment at the TU, e.g. from the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HBK) for enrolment in a minor subject.
