Welcome to the homepage of the Institute of Food Chemistry at TU Braunschweig.
The Institute of Food Chemistry has three professors with more than 30 other employees. The training in the field of food chemistry can point to a more than 100-year tradition (see Chronicle of the institute). In Lower Saxony, Braunschweig is the only university where food chemistry is offered. The previous state examination course in food chemistry will be converted into a bachelor's and master's program in the winter semester 2020/21, which, however, continues to offer the basis, in combination with 12-month practical training, to obtain the degree of a state-certified food chemist.
In addition to information about the institute and its employees, you will also find an overview of our current research priorities and the range of courses offered by the institute.
