The degree programme is divided into thematically related modules, which in turn consist of related courses. Formally, the degree programme consists of the completion of a specified number of compulsory and compulsory elective modules.
Modules consist of a qualification objective, a number of credit points (= workload) and examination modalities (= necessary coursework). Which modules must be completed in your degree programme can be found in your examination regulations. In the module handbook you will find detailed information on the content of the modules, the enrolment logic (associated courses), the type and scope of the coursework, requirements for the awarding of credit points, etc.
In order for a module to be graded as passed, you must complete certain coursework. These may be graded our ungraded.
Most modules consist of two courses. In order to successfully complete a module, both courses must be completed and the coursework and examinations specified in the examination regulations must be completed.
You can read in detail in the module handbook which modules you have to complete and which courses belong to them. You can find the current module handbook under "Documents".
