With an innovative curriculum and the support of leading research institutions, the programme provides the perfect foundation for mastering complex challenges in forward-looking fields ranging from healthcare, environmental analysis, and agricultural technology to consumer electronics. Become part of a visionary programme that trains true "frontier researchers" - experts who not only master their own discipline, but also think outside the box and enrich interdisciplinary teams. Work at the intersection of science and technology to develop solutions that move the world. Discover what makes “Bioelectronics Engineering” so special!
The Bioelectronics Engineering bachelor's programmeis unique in Germany. It builds a bridge between the traditionally strong disciplines of engineering and life sciences at TU Braunschweig. The interdisciplinary approach combines knowledge from areas such as micro- and nano-biosensors, biology and electrical engineering. The aim is not only to make students experts in their field, but also to enable them to develop innovative solutions at the interface of these disciplines - a decisive contribution to securing the future of science and industry.
The programme is closely linked to cutting-edge international research, in particular through its integration into the “Metrology” Research Cluster and its connection to the PhoenixD Cluster of Excellence. Collaborations with renowned research institutions such as the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and the Leibniz Universität Hannover provide an ideal basis for practice-oriented teaching and groundbreaking projects. In addition, there are close links with German and international companies that are active in bioelectronics and medical technology, offering graduates excellent career prospects.
The programme addresses current challenges that are of key importance for health and life sciences. This focus dovetails with TU Braunschweig's "Engineering for Health" research focus and underlines the innovative nature of the programme. With its highly networked approach, "Bioelectronics Engineering" offers students the opportunity to become part of a dynamic field of research and development and to actively shape the technologies of tomorrow.
