At the beginning of their studies, each student is assigned a mentor by the Data Science Examination Committee from the university teaching staff of the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Mathematics.
The mentor's task is to set individual study priorities together with the student. The focus here is on subject-specific counselling. During the course of the degree programme, students have optional meetings with the mentor to discuss the progress of their studies.
The announcement of the mentor assignment is made by the study program coordination/the examination office by mail to the students. A consultation can be held between the individual students and the mentor at the beginning of the first semester. Group appointments with the mentor are also often offered.
A change of the mentor is possible at any time at the request of one of the participants (student and mentor).
