Examination Office

From the summer semester of 2022, students will have the opportunity to book appointments for office hours. This is done via the StudIP system (https://studip.tu-braunschweig.de). You can click directly on the link below or search for “Mathematics Examination Office” in StudIP and then click on consultation hours to make an appointment.

The following information is available for these office hours:

• The office hours are intended to clarify problems relating to the course of your studies. Therefore, when booking, please enter the topic of your problem directly so that we can give you better advice.
• Documents (final theses (if they were previously submitted digitally), proof of achievements, applications for recognition of achievements, etc.) should continue to be submitted by post. To do this, please use normal mail or the central mailbox of the TU Braunschweig. You can find this in the forum building (Universitätsplatz 2) - see graphic below. We do not have a mailbox on site.
• Please note the applicable Corona rules when entering the TU buildings.

All registrations

In principle, all exams must be registered online. When registering for the exam, please pay attention to the area in which you are registering for the exam. This choice is binding and cannot be changed subsequently.

The online examination administration can be found at: https://connect.tu-braunschweig.de.

For examinations for which online registration is not possible, you can register in writing using the registration form (available here and in the examination office).

The following must be registered in writing (not online):

• Additional achievements (study and examination achievements)
• and all other exams that are not mentioned in the list of exams that can be registered online.

You must register for your examinations during the registration period. Please note the information provided via email or on the websites.

Outside the registration period mentioned above, exam registrations will no longer be accepted, even upon request!

Please note the following circumstances: Since the dates for oral examinations must be agreed independently with the institutes, a fictitious examination date is stored in the online system for online registration for oral examinations. This date marks the first day of the examination period and therefore the day from which oral examinations can take place in the respective semester.

Deregistration from Oral Examinations

Since it is possible to withdraw from oral examinations according to the current examination regulations up to one week before the examination date, your examination date plays a role at this point. If you would like to withdraw from a registered oral examination, please note the following circumstances:

• The de-registration date is at least 1 week before the fictitious examination date according to the examination system: You can de-register online or in writing at the examination office.
• The deregistration date is less than a week before or after the fictitious date: Deregistration can only be made in writing at the examination office and confirmation from the chair is required that the deregistration deadline set out in the examination regulations was met (or no examination date was agreed). Please note that deregistration must be submitted to the examination office no later than 1 week before the end of the semester. If the examiner cannot be reached in time for a signature, first submit the deregistration form to the examination office without a signature to meet the deadline and then submit the signature promptly. Only then is the deregistration valid.

Please use the de-registration form for oral examinations that applies to you (available here and at the examination office) and ensure that it is submitted to the examination office on time.

Oral examinations for which no date has yet been agreed must also be regularly deregistered if you wish to withdraw from them. In this case, the examination date is assumed to be the last day of the semester (September 30th or March 31st, unless it is a Saturday or Sunday), and the deregistration with the examiner's signature must then be received by the examination office one week in advance. If an examiner cannot sign the deregistration in time, to meet the deadline, submit the deregistration first without the examiner's signature and then submit it promptly (only then will the deregistration be valid).

From now on, theses (bachelor's or master's thesis) will be uploaded to TUConnect. Submission by email or on data carriers is no longer necessary. The submission date is the upload date of the submission to the examination office.

Bound copies no longer have to be handed in to the examination office. Examiners may request submission of a printed copy within 5 days of the upload date. In this case, the submission will be made to the examiners.

An automatic plagiarism check is carried out.

You can only upload a PDF document (the declaration of independence must be included). To do this, convert your work as a PDF document directly from your word processor or use the print function. Please do not scan!

For data protection reasons, you may remove the personal data “surname”, “first name” and “matriculation number” from the electronic version of your thesis before uploading it.

The maximum file size is 150 MB. If necessary, please reduce the resolution of images/drawings in the file.
