An integrated design methodology is arranged for multidisciplinary analyses and optimisation tasks of future transport aircraft with powered lift systems. At first, physical-based methods are developed for describing aerodynamics with propeller interactions, engine behaviour and system aspects suitable for a computational design approach. In line with the integration task of this project, the design methodology will be used to analyse the impact of the different SFB research approaches on the overall aircraft design and identify optimal solutions.
