Active flow control via actuated airfoils enables new approaches for future aircraft. Hereby the combination of MEMS based flow sensors and piezoelectric actuators seems to be a fruitful solution. In a fibre composite lamination process these techniques will be combined in order to manufacture innovative, large-area sensor-actuator-arrays. Sensor and actuator designs must be tailored to comply with mechanical and flow requirements. The necessary technologies and findings will be demonstrated on the oscillating lip of a blowing slot.
