The efficiency of active blowing at high-lift flaps will be brought to new levels by using formadaptive leading edges, spanwise-segmented blowing, suited combinations with suction and by introducing a dynamically actuated lip at the blowing slot. The potentials of closed-loop flow control will be explored in the longer term of this project. The objectives will be approached by using flow simulations with suited modeling depth and experimental investigations in the large watertunnel of TU Braunschweig.
