What happens when you come to participate in a study at the LingLabTU?
Before the study, the experimenter will greet you in the foyer of the LingLabTU and bring you into the laboratory space where the study will take place. You'll review the participation information regarding the purpose of the study and your eligibility and you will be informed of how we will store the data that we collect.
During the study, you will listen to speech or read text. You may need to type a response, click on answers, or press a key/button. We may also track your eye-movements using one of our camera-based eye-trackers.
After the study you'll be asked to fill out a questionnaire about your language learning background. We’ll then tell you more about the purpose of the study.
If you have any questions contact our Lab Manager, Dr. Lewis Baker.
