What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

My favourite place during my study days was the Prinzenpark, close to my flat at the time. It was ideal for running, studying, going for a walk or simply enjoying the sun.

Reasons why Braunschweig is a great city to study in:

Quality of life and infrastructure: As a student-friendly city, Braunschweig offers a high quality of life and a good mix of urban life and green spaces.
Cultural diversity and leisure opportunities: Braunschweig is a city with an exciting history and a lively cultural scene with a wide variety of offers.
Economy and career prospects: Braunschweig is part of an economically strong region. The city also has a growing start-up scene, particularly in the fields of technology and innovation. For students with entrepreneurial ambitions, Braunschweig offers good opportunities for further development in a creative environment.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • interdisciplinary
  • versatile
  • self-determined

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

An notion of the dynamic intersection of interdisciplinary and complex subject areas of technology and culture as an exciting and increasingly important topic in corporate management and development. And that the resulting interactions trigger an integrative process that focuses on establishing a value-based, open-minded and innovative culture in order to promote effective and sustainable organisational development in the long term.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

Yes, I've been friends with a former fellow student since my student days and we meet up regularly.

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

  1. Self-reflection and goal setting: Know your own strengths and interests and define long-term goals.
  2. Networking and maintaining relationships: Exploring industries and companies and building networks
  3. Flexibility and adaptability: the world of work is constantly changing (and so are you!), so it's important that you remain willing to learn new skills and continue to develop.

In one sentence - In the future I wish the TU Braunschweig:

... to sharpen its profile as an attractive employer that offers competitive remuneration and benefits as well as career paths and promotion opportunities based on performance and experience.
