Bachelor

The Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Sciences is organized in 31 modules, which are assigned to the following areas:

• fundamentals of natural sciences
• fundamentals of environmental sciences
• integrated modules
• specialization area
• professional internship
• graduation

The course of studies is based on individual planning. The course of studies shown in the curriculum is only a recommendation and serves as an orientation. The courses are usually held annually. The timetable, which is published on the website before the beginning of each semester, is used for study planning.

Each subject is proven according to the specifications in the module handbook by passing a written exam or an oral exam or other examination performance during the course of study, the possibly indicated preliminary examinations have to be taken.

All examinations are offered after each semester (during the lecture-free period). The dates for the written examinations are published on the website approximately one semester in advance.

In principle, the General Part of the Examination Regulations applies to all Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at the TU Braunschweig. Supplementary regulations for the study program are laid down in the Special Part of the Examination Regulations for the Bachelor's Degree Program in Environmental Sciences.

Study plan

You will find the study plan there in the examination regulations as well as the explanations on the study program.

The courses of the pool of interdisciplinary qualifications are listed each semester as a special catalog in Stud.IP. From this catalog, all courses can be taken that are not thematically from the Environmental Sciences program and also not from the courses offered by the Environmental Sciences program. Languages can also be included.

These elective courses are not bound to a specific semester and can be taken according to individual study planning. Please do not register for exams of the elective area via the QIS portal, but directly via the respective institute or the lecturer!

Downloads

As part of the bachelor's degree program in Environmental Sciences, an extra-university professional internship with a duration of 6 weeks is required.

An informal letter about the project must be submitted to the Environmental Sciences Office before the completion of the 6-week internship, so that there are no difficulties with the recognition afterwards.

The activity should especially include environmental aspects and be related to the studies.
