The TYPO3 dashboard is a new function in the TYPO3 backend, which is displayed after each login to the TYPO3 system and via which various information is displayed.
On the one hand, you will find information on how to contact the TYPO3 team and on the other hand, we also display the TYPO3 news from the TYPO3 documentation in the dashboard. This way you can access all news concerning TYPO3 directly from the system.
In case of important current information or acute incidents, we will also play out this information via the TYPO3 dashboard, so that you will not miss any important news concerning the TYPO3 web CMS in the future.
By the way, you can rearrange the contents in the dashboard for yourself, e.g. if you want to place a certain piece of information in a different place. To do this, you can simply move the individual elements in the dashboard by dragging and dropping.
If you have changed the arrangement in the dashboard, this change remains, even if you have logged out of the system in the meantime.
The TYPO3 dashboard is displayed every time you log in to the TYPO3 backend. This is to help you no longer miss any news and information about TYPO3.
If required, you can also configure your TYPO3 system so that the dashboard is not displayed every time you log in to the system. To do this, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the black bar and then on "User Settings".
In the user settings, in the third tab "Startup", you will find a selection option for which backend module should be displayed to you on start-up. Here you can select your alternative to the TYPO3 dashboard and confirm by clicking on save.
If you select a different module here, we still recommend that you regularly check the dashboard so that you are informed if maintenance work is announced and you can familiarise yourself with the innovations and news about TYPO3.
