At first glance, the three new content elements we are presenting here, which are all visible in the screenshot above, look very familiar. In fact, the new elements are simpler modifications of the familiar Highlighbox, EyeCatcher and Teaser Container content elements.
The idea behind the new elements is to utilise the advantages of the familiar elements, but to limit them to the essentials and thus make them smaller and simpler, allowing you to transport short content more easily without the need for large elements that take up a lot of space.
In detail, the new or modified content elements are characterised by the following properties:
- Linkbox (top left in the screenshot) as a modification of the highlight box. The link box combines all the elements of the highlight box (coloured background, possibility of linking different boxes via the distance between them), but only one link with a link text is possible in the link box and no further texts, so that the link box is always small and single-line (unless your link text is too long).
- Image link box (bottom left in the screenshot) as a variation of the EyeCatcher. The image link box is a combination of EyeCatcher and link box. As with the EyeCatcher, a decorative image is required as the background image. Instead of a large text box, as in the EyeCatcher, the background image is linked to a simple link box (see above) in the image link box. In this way, you can create larger image links, for example, without needing a heading, text and a link.
- Teaser Box Container (in the screenshot on the right) as a variation of the Teaser Container. The teaser box container is based on the square principle of the teaser container, but the individual elements of the teaser box container are limited to one square and not two squares, as in the teaser container. The square elements of the teaser box container can either consist of a coloured box with text and an optional link or a simple square image. As with the teaser container, you can combine several elements with each other.
Feel free to try out the new or modified elements. We look forward to your feedback on the new, more streamlined content elements!
