This website supports new teachers during their first steps at TU Braunschweig. In addition to information on particularly suitable offers, you will find room and campus plans, instructions on the Learning Management System Stud.IP and relevant contact persons.
TU Braunschweig is not a campus university. This means that there is no actual "university centre", but the various research, administrative and study facilities are spread over different locations. These can be assigned to four large academic centres within the city of Braunschweig:
On the central campus, around Pockelsstraße, you will find the old building, the Audimax, the administration building, the university library and the Mensa 1. The centre of the central campus is Universitätsplatz, which is used as a meeting point for students or as a venue for events. On the North Campus, between Bienroder Weg and Beethovenstraße, faculties and libraries of the humanities are located. The third centre is the East Campus, just a few minutes' walk from the North Campus. Here you will find institutes of mechanical engineering, pharmacy and physics. There is also the Mensa 2 and the sports centre of the TU. Another new campus of the TU Braunschweig is the research airport in the north of Braunschweig. The Lower Saxony Research Centre for Automotive Engineering and Aviation can be found here.
An overview of all locations can be found in our campus map.

With Stud.IP, TU Braunschweig has been providing its teachers and students with a central tool for the digital management of their attendance courses since 2011. Learning management systems (LMS) are at the intersection between teachers, students and administration. They provide information on the organisation of teaching and serve as a communication platform. In addition, LMS can be used to make teaching content centrally accessible and to support teachers' didactic concepts. You can find more information about Stud.IP here.
QIS (quarterly-information-system) is a platform for teachers, students and employees to coordinate teaching. In addition to examination administration, timetable and room planning, you will also find the Interdisciplinary Course Catalogue of the TU Braunschweig. For students, the self-service function of the Student Service is also available here (information on registered examinations, certificate of enrolment, grade chart, etc.).
