What information is required to apply?

An application of max. three pages containing the following information about the initiative must be submitted:

• title of the project
• spokesperson, including brief information on bibliometrics, previous third-party funding activities and/or project experience
• list of researchers involved (name, institute, university)
• estimated funding amount and duration to realize the project idea
• information on the intended funding program and submission procedure
• research question, underlying hypothesis and relevance for the core research ares Future Cities
• USPs / innovation, and a brief description of the current state of research in the field
• if possible: initial roadmap, work packages, responsibilities, methods used

Criteria and Conditions

The proposals will be judged by the core research area's board by mid-July. If necessary, further advisors will be consulted for the assessment.

The criteria for consideration are:

• the consortium
  In accordance with our research governance guidelines, at least three TUBS project partners should be involved in national collaborative projects. Within international collaborative projects and collaborations with Singapore, one TUBS partner is sufficient.
• the quality and originality of the proposal
• the involvement of early career researchers
• the objective and choice of topic in relation to Future Cities's research focus

The following conditions are bound to the grant:

• Proof of submission
  The proposal for funding for the project outlined should be submitted within one year after the SeedMoney has been granted.
• Contribution
  We expect the provision of text for reports, newsletters and the website as well as presentations of the project at retreats and annual general meetings
