What is the Sports Centre?
The Sports Centre is an institution of the Technische Universität Braunschweig offering an assorted-sports programme. Students and staff of the TU Braunschweig, as well as students of the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HBK) and Ostfalia Hochschule, and members of our cooperation partners can participate in our diverse sports and health programme. We have about 200 courses a week from over 90 various disciplines you can choose from. Many of the courses are divided into different levels (A = beginners, F = advanced, L = achievement-oriented), so you can find exactly the right fit for you!
How can I participate?
Here on our homepage you will find the programme where you can subscribe for the course you want to participate in. You have to pay a small fee for most of the courses. Although, how much depends on your status (group A = students, group B = staff, group C = cooperation partners). If there is a fee in your chosen course, you will have to enter your bank data for a so called “Einzugsermächtigung” which allows us to withdraw the money directly from your bank account.
What else does the Sports Centre offer?
We also have the CampusGym, our fitness studio, where you can become a member, and several outside sports facilities, like tennis courts and a calisthenics park which you can use. You have to subscribe for these offers via our homepage, too.
Besides the regular programme, we organise multiple big events during the year. For example, the Campuslauf, a 5/10km run where people run alone or in teams, in normal sportswear or funny costumes, just for fun or to be the first. First and foremost, however: you will have a nice day together with lots of action, snacks, and great prizes!
In addition, the Sports Centre is a place where it is likely to get a job opportunity. If you are a student and just want to make a little money besides your daily routine for the university by helping in EDP, PR or administration, or you want to work as a fitness trainer and guide some of our courses.
