How important is sustainable aviation for you?
A new gamified SE²A communication platform will serve to share and communicate the latest research trends in future aviation with interested citizens.
The Cluster of Excellence "Sustainable and Energy-efficient Aviation", short SE²A, starts with the development of a new dialogue-oriented format, which brings ground-breaking technological developments in future aviation as early as possible to the future users - the passengers. In the new dialogue platform, interested citizens can playfully and interactively engage with future aircraft designs or propulsion and energy concepts. In addition to learning how we will be able to fly in the future, the challenge is to deal with our own and very personal requirements for future flying. In a fictional situation, the participants deal with questions such as: "How important is sustainable mobility for me?", "What changes in terms of flight time, costs, etc. would I accept in order to fly more sustainably and less loud?", "Would I really fly in a very unusual, futuristically designed aircraft? In return, the scientists of the cluster learn from the feedback of the participants already in the design phase of new technologies about their acceptance criteria for new technologies and get the possibility to estimate the possible future user behaviour as well as the economic feasibility. In the first phase, the Cluster of Excellence SE²A together with the TU Braunschweig start-up BeSu.Solutions will design the game-based learning format as an interaction environment. In the second phase, a trade fair stand with a simulation environment will invite passengers at Hanover Airport to help shape our future way of travelling.
