Horizon 2020
Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument for implementing the Innovation Union, a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at ensuring Europe's global competitiveness.
Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the EU's main funding program for research and innovation. It addresses climate change, contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and promotes EU competitiveness and growth.
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
ERDF stands for European Regional Development Fund and is a key instrument of the EU to strengthen European regions and make them competitive by investing in future technologies. The new funding period 2021-2027 focuses on a greener and smarter economy. Under ERDF, numerous directives support its objectives.
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation)
The German Research Foundation is the self-governing organization of science in Germany. It serves science in all its branches. The DFG is organized as an association under private law. Its members are research-intensive universities, non-university research institutions, scientific associations and the Academies of Sciences and Humanities.

MSCA - Postdoctoral Fellowship

With MSCA the European Commission offers individual grants to promote the mobility of young and promising researcher as an essential part of their scientific career.

Seed Funding

In order to initiate joint projects and deepen international cooperation, matching funds are provided by the TU Braunschweig and strategic partner universities.
