Yannic Nonnenmacher is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Bioinformatics and Biochemistry and investigates the metabolism of human cells in the laboratory of Professor Karsten Hiller. With this special expertise, he was able to supplement examinations of a working group of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. The group submitted their results to the renowned journal Nature - and voilà, in November 2017, the joint publication appeared.
