Aerospace studies have a special place in Braunschweig, because most of the courses take place at the Research Airport in Braunschweig. This is unique in Germany. In addition to many regional companies and organizations (like the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Federal Aviation Office, and others), the Campus Research Airport has also been established here.
Six aerospace TU Braunschweig institutes and four DLR aerospace institutes work side by side, utilizing synergies. Additional institutes from the DLR Göttingen and Leibniz University of Hannover have been integrated as well. All offer extremely interesting areas of research in great demand both in industry and science, which students can work on in real-world projects and bachelor’s and masters’ theses. You will find a comprehensive list of all courses offered through the various aerospace institutes of TU Braunschweig here.
