Institute of Biochemical Engineering, TU Braunschweig
Institute of Biochemical engineering acts as bridge between engineering and natural sciences at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. Systems biotechnological methods and concepts using aspects of molecular biology, biochemistry and biochemical engineering are in the focus of research to establish and optimize biotechnological production processes.
Helmholtzzentrum für Infektionsforschung (HZI)
Scientific director: Prof. Dr. Dirk Heinz
In the HZI, mirobiologists, immunologists, structure biologists, chemists, vaccinist and geneticist are interested in the moleculare mechanisms of infectious diseases and the defense mechanisms of their respective hosts. The results of this basic research are extended in the direction of new agents, new medicine and new diagnostics.
