As part of the European Week of Waste Prevention, the Department of Waste and Resource Management held a workshop with students on 20.11.2019 to work out how everyone can contribute to waste prevention and improved recycling (e.g. through correct separation) in everyday student life.

Since October 2019, the department for Waste and Resource Management is a member of PREVENT Waste Alliance. Together with stakeholders from science, business, civil society, and public institutions, the alliance works to ensure that waste is minimized worldwide, pollutants are eliminated, and resources are cycled.
On 23.10.2019, an interview with the head of the waste and resource management department, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Fricke, was published in the Braunschweiger Zeitung.
