The main topics of the department for Automated Battery Production include volume-capable and variant-flexible battery production with the production processes of stack formation, lamination, encapsulation and electrolyte filling for the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries as well as assembly-related processes for all-solid-state batteries. Research for process-product interactions, the development of material-adapted and high-throughput handling concepts and disassembly from system to module and electrode level is within the main focus.
