Qualification goals

After successfully completing this module, students are able to

  • structure open, research-oriented tasks into subtasks and objectives.
  • apply knowledge acquisition techniques to unfamiliar topics.
  • develop interdisciplinary approaches and concepts for institute-specific, research-oriented tasks.
  • organize, solve and document research-oriented tasks, preferably in teamwork.
  • present referenced and self-generated results using common forms of presentation.

Content

  • Theoretical and/or practical work on an institute-specific task
  • Topic familiarization through research and preparation of a content-related knowledge base on the topic
  • Accompanying exercises to impart knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Regular exchange with supervisors of the project work to find solutions and documentation
  • Presentation of the developed solutions and results as part of a scientific presentation and subsequent discussion
