In HyVar, we devised a framework for continious and individual evolution of distributed applications for remote devices in heterogeneous operational environments.

The framework provides the following core functionalities:

• Domain-specific variability languages to specify the evolution of a software product line
• Scalable cloud infrastructure that monitors the fleet of end devices to provide individual software updates
• Continious software evolution using over-the-air updates
