Summary of the overall project:
The research project “IntelliPast” focuses on reducing production costs and increasing the product quality of battery cells. The mixing technology used to produce the anode and cathode pastes is an essential production step in battery cell manufacturing. Therefore, the overall aim of the project is to expand an existing mixing process into an intelligent, autonomous, and continuously operating paste production process.
The main goal of this work is to create a software environment for the programming of the digital twins and identification of the necessary control variables. Within the content of this work, a python-based basic environment of the digital twins for the extrusion will be created. For this purpose, suitable machine learning methods have to be programmed and extended, which on the one hand are able to learn on the basis of the process-specific data, and on the other hand, are able to automatically implement already existing physical dependencies and non-controllable sub-process models.
