Bachelor's and Master's students of engineering have the opportunity to complete a research internship of one to six months at the Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia (IMT - Maua Institute of Technology) in São Paulo, Brazil.
On site, the students work under the guidance of the researchers and professors and are given access to all facilities. The workload is between 20 and 40 hours per week. The research stay can be recognised academically if an agreement has been reached between the IMT and the home university prior to the stay.
As financial support, students from a partner university have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship of 500 USD per month. The scholarship is limited to two months.
The students get the chance to deepen their subject knowledge on a specific scientific topic, they learn how a research project is structured and can gain experience in laboratories. At the same time, they get to know a new university and have the opportunity to experience the Brazilian culture.
What are the basic application requirements?
- Students must be enrolled in an engineering Bachelor's or Master's programme at a university outside of Brazil.
