Contents: Integrated silicon circuits are used in ever increasing numbers because of the increasing miniaturization, economic mass production and large flexibility. The course introduces to the technology and fabrication processes of integrated circutis. The function of converters and memories is discussed. Additionally the problems of quality assurance and failure mechanisms are dealt with.
