After Sabahat Shaheen's successful disputation on 19 June 2024, we all went to the restaurant Genuss-Tresor am Bankplatz to toast and celebrate.
The Optoelectronics lecture went until 13:00, followed by a barbecue. And this was then repeated on 31.05.2023 after the Comsol course because it was so nice.
On May 24, 2023, the THz Photonics working group took the train to Bad Harzburg to hike and spend a nice day.
Arriving back in Braunschweig, the day was rounded off with a delicious dinner in an Indian restaurant.
Whether in traffic or at work: First aid can save lives in an emergency and is the duty of everyone.
We had our FIRST AID course on 07.03.2023 (English) and on 08.03.2023 (German). Everyone participated from professors to students. The IHF is well positioned. In a group, such a course is much more fun and promotes the community.
21.12.22 Year-end meeting THz Photonics Group
Before everybody said goodbye to the Christmas vacations, we went to the Christmas market together and afterwards we had a nice dinner at Schadt's Brauereigasthaus.

Since we hadn't met in a long time and we still wanted to invite Dr. Johannes to dinner, we went bowling and then to dinner.

Some could bowl very well after a short time, others had a talent for misses. There was a lot of laughter and we had fun together.
At 13:00 we went shopping. At 16:00 we started on foot to the bowling hall. After everyone had their shoes and we were divided into two groups, we started. The ambition seized the group.
We all had a lot of fun, that had been really missing the last 2 years. After bowling we went back and the grill was thrown on, we let the afternoon / evening end together.
Prof. Kowalsky brought many delicious things from France and invited us all to a cheese breakfast. There were different delicacies, it was just delicious. Thank you very much for the nice idea.
On 13.09.2022 we went once again to the Heidepark. Our Hiwis/Students set out on an adventure and came back happy, healthy and cheerful. The trip made them a team and a new beautiful memory was born
Provided it doesn't rain, we will be driving tractors at Dr. Johannes on August 20! We will start at 15:00 o'clock. You should wear appropriate (garden) clothes, which may also get dirty. Besides a tractor course Dr. Johannes will take care of our physical well-being.
The exact address with suggestions for the journey will follow from Dr. Johannes. If you want to go there by bike as well, please let me know and we can ride together.

Christmas 2019
Our Christmas parties are always hosted by our new colleagues. They plan, collect the money, do the shopping and take care of the food. It is always fun and exciting. Dr. Johannes is always in charge of the tree.
We cooked our own food and made our own weight. We celebrate and get to know each other across teams.
When we finally get back to normal, the institute activities will be back. We are looking forward to it.
Trip to Frankfurt
We all went by train from Braunschweig to Frankfurt.
There was a lot of laughter and it was good for the community. There was a guided tour of the city. We were divided into groups and so we went through Frankfurt. The feedback was all positive. It was a nice day.
In 2018, the department of high frequency technology, spent nice days for the retreat in the Harz mountains.
At the evening social event with a short hike and a joint meal, the department got to know each other better.
We became one team.
In 2017, the Institute of High Frequency Technology spent a wonderful day at Heidepark.
Some got wet, others dared to ride crazy rides and afterwards we all had a barbecue at Dr. Johannes.
We simply spent the day without work and got to know each other in a different way.
A day that we will remember for a long time.
