The task and objective of our teaching is to provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of geometry- and space-related information. This knowledge refers to buildings and infrastructure facilities as well as local and regional geo-objects up to cities, countries and continents. In addition to the determination of an actual state, concepts and methods for the monitoring of structures and a study of processes in the System Earth are covered.
The basic principles of order for information, the classical and modern acquisition techniques (terrestrial and satellite-based), the necessary processing and evaluation concepts and finally the structured storage and provision in geoinformation systems and thus possible further analysis possibilities are taught.
We offer Master's specialisations in Geodetic Monitoring and Geoinformation for students of Civil Engineering, Industrial and Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Environmental Sciences.
