Institute for Communications Technology

The institute, headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eduard A. Jorswieck, conducts research in three departments: Mobile Radio Systems (Prof. Kürner), Information Theory & Communication Systems (Prof. Jorswieck and Electronic Media Group Prof. Reimers) and Signal Processing & Machine Learning (Prof. Fingscheidt).

We work on many international projects and maintain worldwide cooperations with research institutions, industrial cooperations and public institutions.

Our teaching goes hand in hand with practical experiments. Students get direct insights into everyday research life through a variety of computer experiments, labs or practicals as well as through practically-oriented theses. In this way, they can put into practice and reinforce their theoretical knowledge. Annually, we offer excursions where students can network with companies in the field of communications engineering.
