Our research covers a broad range of different topics in the field of aircraft and lightweight design. This includes researching innovative aircraft configurations using multidisciplinary design optimizations methods on a large scale all the way down to detailed numerical and experimental analyses of lightweight materials and their behavior.
Since 2017, the institute is split into two chairs, each bringing their own focus to our research topics.
