The shear testing machine is used for buckling analysis of thin shear loaded panels. The special construction of the frame allows an ideal clamping of the quadratic specimen. The load is applied by a hydropuls cylinder connected to the frame. Static testing is as well possible as dynamic cycling of the specimen. The machine is driven by an internal waveform generator. For special testing tasks, a supplementary PC with a 16 bit A/D converter is used. This combination allows the application of any desired load distribution.
