The ICTV also supports student initiatives, such as the brewing student group “Carl-Wilhelms-Bräu”.
- The "Carl-Wilhelms-Bräu" is the beer of the student brewing initiative of the TU Braunschweig. Everyone with an interest in self-brewed beer is more than welcome to join the brewing group.
- About once a month we brew a delicious beer creation for events such as the ICTV Winter Games, Christmas parties or summer festivals. In addition, we take part in the TUHH's annual international brewing competition. In 2013 and 2017, our beer took the second place. In addition to the well-known Pils, our repertoire includes a wide range of different beer creations:
- Maerzen
- Speed wheat beer
- “Stein beer”
- India Pale Ale
- Ice Bock
- Malt beer
