Bachelor's or Master's Thesis
The thermal conductivity of insulation materials is determined in a dry state. Since insulation materials in practical applications have higher moisture content than during testing, the measured thermal conductivity is adjusted with a correction factor. However, it is only known that the material moisture content in practice is higher than during testing, but not by how much and over what period. The goal of this work is to determine the material moisture contents encountered in practice over specific timeframes and volumetric considerations. The data collection will be carried out using literature and personal simulations. Proficiency in computer programs like WUFI or similar software is required or must be acquired. Depending on whether a Bachelor's or Master's thesis is to be conducted, the task complexity will be adjusted accordingly.
