Prof. Dr. Martin Johns is a tenured full professor (W3) and Chair of Application Security at Technical University Braunschweig.
Before joining TU Braunschweig, he was working as Research Expert for SAP Security Research, where he was co-responsible for setting SAP's security research strategy and in charge of the software security research team. During the 1990ties and the early years of the new millennium he earned his living as a software engineer in German companies (including TC Trustcenter and Infoseek Germany). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Passau (2009) and a Diploma from the University of Hamburg (2003).
Martin's main areas of research are within the fields of web and software security with a focus on secure programming, vulnerability detection and attack mitigation.
