Physics on Saturday morning: How Artificial intelligence changes research
The "Physics on Saturday mornings" event series at TU Braunschweig invites you to discover current physics topics and give the public exciting insights into research at the university.
The awarding of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics to John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton - two researchers who laid the foundations for artificial intelligence as it is found everywhere today - provided inspiration for one of the contributions. In the course of this, Tim Seifert, PhD student at the IAP, presented what makes this work so special and how artificial intelligence is used today at the Institute of Applied Physics.
