Sandra Buchmüller studied at the Cologne International School of Design and holds a doctorate from the Berlin University of the Arts. As a freelance designer, she worked for various companies and institutions such as RTL Enterprises, the development and exhibition company Zollverein, Vodafone, T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom and Telekom Innovation Laboratories. Before she worked as part of the Maria-Goeppert-Mayer-Professorship "Gender, Technology, Mobility" at the Institut für Flugführung at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, she was a research associate at the Design Research Lab at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bremen.
