The Graduate College "Fluids-Structure Interactions", established in 1998 at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, is a PhD-Basic Research Programme supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and supervised by a group of professors from several faculties, including civil engineering, mathematics and informatics, mechanical engineering as well as the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The research is essentially theoretically and numerically oriented, including for instance airflow around elastic wings, wind-structure interactions, interactions between water waves and coastal/offshore structures and acoustics with structure-fluid-coupling.
