Water buffaloes are becoming increasingly popular in nature conservation. Since 2011, the Förderkreis Umwelt- und Naturschutz (FUN) Hondelage e.V. has kept these animals for the grazing the Schunter meadow in Braunschweig. In order to better understand the spatial and temporal grazing patterns and, if necessary, to adapt management, we have equipped three animals with GPS loggers and accelerometers.
