This year's boundary layer excursion led us to the meteorological observatory of the DWD in Lindenberg as well as to the boundary layer measuring field in Falkenberg. Frank Beyrich gave us a detailed insight into the boundary layer research of the weather service. Finally we visited the research airport Braunschweig. Barbara Altstädter (IFF) introduced us to research on and with unmanned flight systems.
