In medicine and health care, there is an immense need for the systematic use of information processing methods and information and communication technologies.
You will benefit from excellent conditions for research and study. The other areas of specialisation in computer science at TU Braunschweig perfectly complement the courses offered in Medical Informatics. In addition, you can choose from a wide range of subjects offered by other faculties, for example in the field of biomedical engineering, bioinformatics or business informatics.
There are close relationships with medical institutions such as the Braunschweig Clinic, the Hanover Medical School (MHH), the Göttingen University Hospital, practising doctors and health insurance companies. This way, theory and practice are closely linked during the course of study. Included in the training are also teaching units with international partners, carried out in cooperation with other renowned universities. In addition to knowledge about health care systems in other countries, you will also learn to work together in an international setting at an early stage.
The admission requirements and application procedures of the Bachelor’s programme in Computer Science apply.
You will need a formal university entrance qualification to apply for the programme. If you do not have the German Abitur, you can check our summary [in German only] to find out which degree programmes are available to you depending on your educational background.
