Students of industrial engineering at TU Braunschweig benefit from gaining insights into technology and economics in almost equal proportions. From the very first semester, you will learn about both electrical engineering and economics. Simultaneously, you will get to know different approaches and ways of thinking as well as technical languages. You will gain expert knowledge and become capable of solving tasks that require profound expertise from both fields.

The areas in which you will be employed in industry and service companies are therefore equally diverse. In the electrical engineering field of study, you will find jobs in particular in the electrotechnical and information technology industry, here especially in the energy industry, but also in the vehicle industry, in mechanical and plant engineering or the software industry as well as in management consultancy and accountancy firms.

Today, large companies operate globally, research projects are carried out in international teams and specialised literature is written in English. It is therefore important that you take advantage of your studies to gain experience abroad and to professionalise your foreign language skills.

Within the framework of our international university partnerships, we offer you many opportunities to study abroad. In our dual degree programmes, you can acquire a second university degree from a university abroad without extending your study time. Alternatively, you can complete internships or student research projects in a company abroad for which you can receive credit as part of the recognition of study achievements.
