The role of public transport in Hamburg's sustainable development and autonomous driving

In this exciting presentation, Merle Schmidt-Brunn, Head of Finance and Sustainability at Hamburger HOCHBAHN, will provide exclusive insights into innovative solutions, current projects and challenges that need to be overcome on the way to climate-friendly and efficient mobility.
A sustainable mobility transition is the key to climate neutrality. As Hamburg's largest transport company, HOCHBAHN is making a significant contribution to this: “With the U5, we are currently building Germany's largest inner-city infrastructure project and are saving around 70 percent of climate-damaging emissions during construction compared to conventional construction methods. We are continuously developing our app offering, which also integrates sharing and on-demand services and complements our public transport offering. And with our ALIKE project, we are working with experienced partners to bring autonomous mobility to life in Hamburg,” says Merle Schmidt-Brunn.
