Dear students,

Welcome to Braunschweig, to the Department of Life Sciences and the biology degree progamme.

We would like to give you some information and advice for your start. First of all, some - typically German - rules:

  • It´s important to show up on time to your lectures, labs and appointments.
  • In order to be allowed to take part in the labs you must come to the preliminary talks (Vorbesprechungen). Missing them means that you can not participate!
  • Please stay in Braunschweig while the university is in session - that means mid-October through mid-February (winter semester) and mid-April to mid-July (summer semester). You´ll find the exact dates HERE.
  • The lectures, labs and exams are in German. If you need information about language courses, click HERE
