What‘s your nicest memory of Braunschweig and do you have a favorite place?

There are many very nice impressions from my studies. Above all, it feels great to have been active in so many different directions!

Reasons why the TU Braunschweig is a great place to study:

The versatility, the high quality of the degree program (even if it wasn't noticeable every second), and the diverse opportunities for studying as well as for leisure activities in the city.

Describe the time of your studies in 3 words:

  • Learning
  • Activity
  • Learning

Which contents of your studies can you still use in your career today?

The different ways of thinking in the various disciplines. I often find myself in the role of mediator and translator between structural engineering, road construction, planners and administration, in order to then express it in words suitable for the public.

Are you still in touch with former fellow students? Do you see each other and if so, how often?

We actually had it once, but it fell asleep again. Perhaps this should be taken as an impetus...

What advice would you give current students for their personal career planning?

The degree course is well suited to acquiring the basics (the university's task), which you will later use to acquire your subject-specific knowledge (you at the university) and apply and develop in practice (your task). And try to find out very soon in which subject area you can contribute your strengths (often in "flow").

In one sentence - In the future, I wish the TU Braunschweig:

Competitive edge in the international picture.
